October 19th — Lisbon, PT // Open Source Lisbon 2022 marked the turning page of last years situation - the pandemic. This year's edition celebrated the return of the face-to-face model, gathering people interested in open source from all over the world. We have reunited attendees from 42 countries, 28 speakers and the biggest players on the market.
The event took place at Centro Cultural de Belém on October 12. The talks were divided between two stages, Main Stage and Tech Sessions, where 23 different sessions were held.
Once again, the event had the main objective of celebrating open source, its growth and importance, on economy, society and the life of every single one of us.
Speakers approached all type of matters about open source, from security to entertainment and much more. The attendees had the chance to learn how open source is changing the world, the importance of it, and the realisation that we're using open source every single day, because it's in the fabric of everything.
We had the pleasure to have big names like Google, Microsoft, Red Hat, Elastic, The Linux Foundation, Cloudera, Confluent, NOSi and Zabbix. Also, we had the participation of great speakers like Nancy Gariché, Ben Cerveny, Ricardo Fiel, Chris DiBona, Gabriel Coimbra and many many more.
We´re very proud about this year's event and already excited for the 2023 edition. Until then, and if you weren't able to experience the event, you can always check the Main Stage talks at Syone's Youtube channel and all the photos at our website.
We hope to see you next year!
