1st Edition of Open Source Lisbon Roadshow Empowers Attendees on Observability

Open Source Lisbon, the biggest open source event in Portugal has changed its concept. It's now divided into several events focused on specific themes. The new concept is called Open Source Lisbon Roadshow, the theme of the first edition was Observability and took place at Centro Cultural de Belém on June 6th, 2023. The event successfully shed light on the profound benefits of observability for businesses and delved into the technical aspects of this emerging field.

Organized by Syone, leading open source solutions in Portugal, Open Source Lisbon Roadshow offered attendees a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights from industry experts and discover how observability can revolutionize their understanding of complex systems.

The event featured two engaging streams tailored to different interests. In the first stream, real-life business cases were presented, highlighting the tangible benefits of observability. Attendees had the chance to learn from Luís Neves Dias, Chief Security Officer at Syone, who shared his expertise and experiences in leveraging observability to navigate complex systems effectively.

Dimitri Marx, SA Partner Lead for EMEA at Elastic, took the stage to deliver a comprehensive session on the intricacies of observability. Ricardo Iorio, DevOps Engineer at Syone, and Allan Hota, Elastic Engineer at Syone, also shared their insights, providing attendees with practical knowledge and techniques to implement observability solutions.
